Cookie Policy
Which cookies and local storage RoomSwap uses, and why.
Last updated: 23 June 2026
1. Our approach
RoomSwap is privacy-first. We use only what is needed to run the platform. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You are not profiled across other websites.
2. What we store
- Session cookie (strictly necessary). Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it you could not stay logged in. It is not used for tracking.
- Cookie-consent flag (local storage). When you respond to the cookie notice, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
3. What we do not use
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
- No third-party analytics that profile you individually.
4. Managing your choice
You can accept or decline non-essential storage in the cookie notice. As there are currently no non-essential tracking scripts, declining simply records your preference. You can also clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings; clearing them will sign you out.
5. Changes and contact
If we ever introduce additional cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. Questions? Email privacy@roomswap.example. See also our Privacy Policy.
